I trained to be an MBSR teacher with the Centre for Mindfulness at Bangor University. I have also completed the “Teaching Mindfulness in Non-Clinical Settings” course at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre.
I have been practicing yoga and meditation for over 20 years and I have attended many courses, both in the US and Europe on mindfulness, mindful self-compassion and meditation.
After a successful career in Television, I trained as a yoga teacher and set up Calm For Kids in 1998. Calm For Kids offers training courses for yoga teachers and school teachers who want to bring the benefits of yoga to children and there are now over 500 graduates of the Calm For Kids Training course. I have written and produced eight relaxation CDs for children and teenagers that have sold over 60,000 copies worldwide.
I am on the faculty of the British Wheel of Yoga accredited London Yoga Teacher Training Group (LYTTG) which trains adult yoga teachers.
Personally I have found mindfulness to be an invaluable resource in dealing with life’s major and minor challenges and I am profoundly grateful to have found it.
I offer 8 week MBSR courses in West and Central London as well as courses in companies and schools.
